Shrove Tuesday is here which marks a traditional day of feasting before the start of lent on Ash Wednesday. However, I must confess now that I do not think I will manage 40 days of fasting leading up to Easter.

Clearspring Review 2 Desk Nibbles Minus the Naughtiness: February 2017
Some of you may remember last year, that I received a lovely Christmas package from the team over at Clearspring HQ? The parcel was packed with lots of yummy healthy nutritious organic goodies to try out. After all of Decembers indulgence, January 2017 was time for a “Clearspring”. A notoriously unhealthy desk snacker, daily I was working my way through packs of fat fuelled crisps, sugar powered soups and sweets, that could total up to a whopping 800 calories! Simply nibbling on a pen lid was certainly not a viable answer to aid my calorific desk fix.

“Two Italians Abroad” aka Nino and Andrea came to the UK to work and study. Little did they know that this decision would take them on a journey of a lifetime. A game of football and a few Vino’s after the match united them and their passion for authentic high quality food and drink. A few glasses of Vino later, some careful planning along with a spritz of entrepreneurial spirit, saw the very first Veeno open in Manchester city centre in 2013!

Bundobust Manchester Review: February 2017
From Mumbai to Manchester the Bundobust Boys are in town and already are a sensational Bollywood Hit. Founders Mark Husak who’s specialism lies in the craft beer market and Mayur Patel with his extensive foodie knowledge using recipes passed down from his parents and grandparents, have brought a much needed element of spice into the Manchester Piccadilly area. A game of two half’s Bundobust offers a specialist selection of craft beers and simple yet innovative Indian street food…what’s not to like right?! The Bundobust Entrance walls are adorned with recycled doors luckily, we made the right choice and went straight on inside. Relaxed laid back setting, décor simple and inviting with authentic Indian film posters, a mix of cosy booth style seating and communal benches. Welcomed warmly by staff we got cosy and chilled out in the booth while we looked over the mouth-watering menu.
Pen and Pencil NQ Review: February 2017
Extra, extra read all about it…as New York Meets the Northern quarter in Manchester City Centre. Situated on the corner of Hilton and Tarrif Street, this trendy New York style bar and eatery takes their name from the infamous mid-20th Century bar on East 45th Street in New York city which drew in newspaper journalists and the advertising business gurus- the original Madison Avenue ‘mad men’. Pen and Pencil have taken their inspiration from the ‘Mad Men’ creative revolution, as you can see from the restroom décor and combined with the new, as the place has a central perk style feel, with the Cosy seating, industrial features such as the cool light fixtures and of course what New York style eatery would be complete without a great big stonking ‘show off’ centrepiece coffee machine!
Friday Fame: February 2017
After a gloomy Januray, February has got off to a booming start! Excited to see my Nutri-Bombz ‘ Big Balls of Brilliance’ review featured on their exciting new Nutri-Noize Social Page! Happy days! As if this was not enough, I was honoured to be with the likes of Shona McCallin who was part of the women’s hockey team at Rio 2016, who collected their first ever Olympic gold medal. Natalie Williams and Katie Hurry part of the England Karate Team, fellow blogger Toni Terry and personal trainer and all round fitness guy Bradley Simmonds.
