Popchips Review: February 2017
Popchips a California creation began in 2007 and is one of the fastest growing snack brands in America. Los Angeles in California is the Headquarters for the fabulous Popchips and now with an office right here in the UK they are popping up all over the world. Keith Belling a serial entrepreneur along with Pat Turpin a fellow foodie and business start-up guru are both the founders and chairmen behind these cool crazy crisps…well chips! Both have a wealth of experience in business – in fact over 40 years between them! This pair of super snackers are clearly passionate about Popchips and launching a healthier snack off worldwide. Exciting stuff! Even more exciting was the big bold red boxed delivery, that I received. My turn to go on a ridge ride and get my snack on!
Lets get the Science behind these super snacks out the way! Healthier, lighter and not deep fried these snacks are heated up in a pressurized chamber and then quickly released. These chips are then splashed with high oleic oils and jazzed up with sensational spices and seasonings. Pop there you have it – simple no fuss crunchiness! No added preservatives, no artificial flavours, no cholesterol, gluten free and 0 grams’ trans-fat these Popchips are deffo worth a whirl. Big Crunch, Bold flavour and ridged for my pleasure bring on the brilliant bags of crunch and let’s get snacking. All 4 flavours were yummy – mouth-watering ‘mature cheddar & onion’, sensational ‘Smoky bacon’, the fire breathing ‘Crazy hot’ and my favs the lip-smacking ‘sea salt and vinegar’.
