Radisson Blu Edwardian Manchester Opus One Afternoon Tea #Review

Radisson Blu Edwardian Manchester Opus One Afternoon Tea Review: April 2017

The 5-star iconic Radisson Blu Edwardian Manchester, located in the home of Manchester’s historic Free Trade Hall and the original home to the Hallé Orchestra, which is steeped in history and old school decadence and charm.  Originally, built in 1853 to commemorate the repel of the corn laws and sympathetically refurbished in 2004, retaining original features such as the façade, to create this stunning hotel, spa and restaurant.  First impressions count and you will not be disappointed.  Make your way through the airy, impressive and exquisite lobby and this will lead you to the opulent Opus One bar and restaurant.

The Opus lounge offered opulent, plush and luxurious surroundings along with their signature high levels of professional and personalised service.  Glenn McDowell, the lovely gentleman overseeing our Afternoon Tea visit had a great personality, was fun friendly and professional.  We began with their legendary signature Hallé Berry cocktail, fresh, fruity and simply lush.

The Celebration Afternoon Tea included a glass of champagne per person, a tea of your choice, a selection of fabulous finger sandwiches, a lovely range of home baked scrummy scones which were served with delicious clotted cream and preserves.  Finally, there was a variety of lip-smackingly decadent and deliciously sweet and tasty patisserie offerings.

Importantly, Glenn let our service run naturally and organically allowing us to have the same experience as any other guest.  Not only did this make for a relaxed review, it highlighted that 5-star service was a natural way at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Manchester Opus One.

Celebrations, a catch up with friends or simply fancy some of the fizzy stuff with some sweet fancies…head over to Opus One, sit back, relax and let them look after all of your needs.

Thank you for reading 😊

  1. I love Radisson Blu hotels – we are fairly local to Manchester but haven’t managed to visit yet though. I like the look of all the varieties of food on offer. Great way to celebrate by indulging in afternoon tea.
