Enzo Manchester #Review

Enzo Manchester Review: June 2017

Enzo located on Fountain Street in the heart of Manchester city centre, began through a chance encounter, yes, it is cliché, but it is the truth. Car not starting and needing to get into work, the owner of what we now know as Enzo, hopped a ride on the bus and was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by an Italian driver called Enzo who was wearing a bright booming smile. The bus journeys continued for the next few weeks, as the car was a little more out of service than first thought. Enzo’s energy was energetic, but his true love was pizza and coffee, a bond between owner and Enzo was formed and the decision was made to set up shop. Sadly, Enzo had to return home, as his mother was unwell, but right there Enzo was born and the rest was history.

Inviting, informal, modern and a relaxed venue with a bold, bright and fresh green theming throughout. Allison our server and the team welcomed us and we could not get wait to get started. The mouth-watering mixed board, the vegetarian version, was a mixture of yummy scrummy cheeses served with olives, sundried tomatoes, ciabatta and a balsamic glaze and olive oil dip.

Their fresh pizza dough, pasta and sauces all are made daily on site by their talented team and their food contains 100% natural ingredients with no artificial flavours or preservatives – impressive stuff! Pizza, Pizza, Pizza is all that we could think of…I wonder why? Perhaps the vibrant ‘pizza’ light and the cute napkins stating, “all you need is pizza” had something to do with it! The Pesto Deluxe was a yummy Pesto and feta base pizza topped off with peppers, cherry tomatoes, rocket and basil olive oil. The lovely Avocado & Chicken Caesar Salad dressed up with leaves, tomatoes, chicken, crispy bacon, avocado, croutons and Caesar dressing was yummy.

To wash down all this amazing food, we had a glass of the Prosecco Spumante which was fresh, fantastic, fizzy Italian perfection. Also, Punks do it bitter, which had a fab dry but citrusy taste which was divine. Finally, a classic Peroni – perfection in a bottle. Enzo is a cosy vibrant hub, with quality fresh products, and along with Enzo’s three rules of life; dream big, never give up and be positive – I could not think of a better place to be.

Thank you for reading 🙂

  1. I will be checking this place out if I go to Manchester. I love sundried tomatoes and I’m so happy with have a salad with avocado… a certain other pizza chain used to have a salad with them then they took it off the menu and I am so upset!
