Sienna Spa Packages Review at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Manchester: June 2017

A perfect pamper package of indulgence can be enjoyed at the 5-star iconic Radisson Blu Edwardian, which is located in Manchester’s historic Free Trade Hall and was the original home to the Hallé Orchestra. The building is steeped in history, and has old school decadence and charm, retaining some stunning original features.

Situated deep within the buildings vaults make your way down to the Sienna Spa and escape from all the city hustle and bustle. Forget your worries and stresses, and prepare to enter a tranquil, relaxing oasis of peace and calm where the focus is all about having a little well deserved ‘you’ time.

The Inner City Escape package, has the perfect balance of activities to feed mind, body and soul. Prior to your treatments, you have a full 2 hours admittance to use the wet spa facilities which includes a full air-conditioned gym, 12-metre deck level swimming pool, the poolside relaxation area along with facilities such as the whirlpool bath, Nordic sauna and steam room.

Also included is a choice of two 30 minute treatments which include a Facial, Relaxing Back Massage, Body Polish or Nail Treatment. Or pick one 60 minute, including a Facial, Relaxing Body Massage, Deluxe Manicure or Deluxe Pedicure. After all that pampering and relaxation, the hunger pangs definitely do start to kick in, so the Radisson have kindly included a traditional afternoon tea or lunch at steak & Lobster to finish off your exquisite spa experience.

After a manic month at blogging HQ, I eagerly made by way through the opulent lobby, and seeing the Sienna Spa sign was a breath of fresh air, signalling that my me time was about to begin. Checking in was a smooth process, where the receptionist politely explained my decadent day ahead and directed me to the changing facilities. Upon opening my locker, a luxurious waffled robe, slippers and towel were waiting inside.

Upon entry to the pool, you instantly feel peacefulness, as relaxed music plays throughout, which during your time swimming and watching the world go by in the whirlpool bath, takes your relaxation to another level of loveliness. The sauna has a chilled Scandinavian vibe and the steam room’s starlit sky makes you feel on cloud 9.

Serene and calm music continues to play, as you make your way to the relaxation room. A place that affords you some personal time and space to chill and unwind, prior and after your treatments. Lavish décor includes a bold Buddha figurine, luxurious leather reclining seats and a magnificent hydration station that offers clients refreshments, such as rose flavoured water and a selection of herbal teas.

My five-star therapist Natalie Stubbs, whom I had met with on a previous visit, was a delight as always and delivered my two treatments with a first-class professional approach, in the most stunning treatment room adorned with gold wall hangings which gave a decadent 5 star feel. The 30-minute back massage was a wonderfully relaxed treatment and the 30 minute ESPA facial was a triumph. Natalie even took time out to explain how the UV light could detect existing facial damage or strain, but luckily for me it seemed that I was suffering from just a little de-hydration.

Relaxed and revitalised, but feeling peckish, so it was onwards to the Opulent Opus Lounge where it was time to partake in an amazing afternoon tea. Lovely Lucy looked after our afternoon tea service, which included the tasty traditional tea with prosecco, a selection of scrummy sandwiches, scrumptious scones with jam and Cornish clotted cream and some lip- smackingly tasty pastries. Also, the gentleman’s Afternoon tea, with a pint of beer, sweet scones with Cornish clotted cream and jam, then a selection of sensational savory offerings including Fish and chips with tartar sauce, Mini steak and ale pie, Chicken slider and a selection of superb sandwiches.

Rest, relax and dine let the Radisson Blu Edwardian Manchester team work their magic. Thank you to all the RBE Team. Hope that you enjoyed reading 🙂

  3. The building looks wonderful and full of history and character. We love that you have to walk down to the vaults to enter the spa and could imagine getting further and further away from the hustle and bustle of Manchester streets. Sounds like our sort of place. When my mummy gets better I want to treat her to a spa day x
