The Living Room Restaurant and Bar Manchester Review: September 2017

Destination Deansgate Manchester, where The Living Room Restaurant and Bar awaited our arrival to showcase exactly what they had to offer. Welcomed warmly, by both the door security and floor staff, we were shown through to the main dining area, décor featured a mix of creams, subtle metallics, pastel greens and rose, with feature lit potted trees, well placed angled mirrors, plush booth seating with plumped up cushions all gave that dining in a secret garden feel. Subdue lighting along with some mixed-up music beats set a relaxed scene. The cool, chic, contemporary stylish décor theme continued throughout this classy dining experience.

Amazing accessories, such as the brushed metallic menus, gold dust speckled plates, brushed copper pepper & Salt pots and neutral stone napkins dressed the table to impress. The devil is in the detail and The Living Room have got this one down. Nice nibbles included olives, ciabatta bread with balsamic dipping oils all washed down with a novelty yet quality cocktail; The Polaroid Martini was picture perfection, but get ready to say cheese, because now it’s your turn to shine, as your snap shot will be attached to this innovative cocktail creation. The cocktail also delivered on taste, mixed up with Absolut Mango, White Peach Puree, Vanilla Sugar syrup, Pineapple Juice and Lemon Juice, this drink is now one of my personal favs.

Mouth-watering mains included the tasty truffle and hard cheese gnocchi with asparagus, pesto, slow roasted tomatoes all topped off with toasted cashews. The 70z fillet steak was totally tender and came topped off with Sautéed mushrooms in a creamy peppercorn sauce and a good side of fries. All washed down with two exceptional cocktails which included the ‘French Kiss’ which is shaken up with Grey Goose, Chambord, fresh blackberries, vanilla syrup and pineapple juice. Also, the Grey goose le fizz created with Grey Goose, St Germain, lime juice and a splash of soda.

Divine desserts, with a chocolatey theme, hit the sweet spot. The rich chocolate tray baked brownie, which was topped off with espresso and hazelnut ice cream, almond granola and chocolate sauce. The perfect popping double candy sundae with lush layers of rich brownie, ice cream, chocolate sauce, marshmallows, topped with popping candy, biscuit sprinkles and almond granola was lisp-smackingly sensational. Since sugar and candy was the theme, the cute Cranberry candy cocktail made with Absolut, Grenadine syrup, lemon juice and cranberry juice, served with candy floss, was the perfect end to our divine dinner.

Dominika our server was exceptional, attending to our every need, who providing an authentic, genuine service style delivered with flair, passion and enthusiasm. Drink, dine and relax, get cosy in their Living Room and I am sure you that will feel right at home.

Thank you for reading 😊
