Alara Wholefoods Review: September 2017
In 1975 Alex Smith started the company from humble beginnings, having experienced some turbulent times throughout his organic Muesli journey, but Alex’s persistence, dedication and hard work have seen the business thrive and grow. The brands ethos is dedicated to quality, sustainability and giving back to the community. All their products are made in Zero Waste factory a stone throw away from Kings Cross, London. Sourcing local ingredients and where possible supporting organic farmers in the UK.
With a wealth of Experience and expertise, the brand has created high quality bespoke muesli products that do not contain any genetically modified organisms or any of its derivatives, have been certified organic by the Soil Association since 1988 and with JAAC since 1998 an impressively is the only Fair Trade certified cereal manufacturer in the world and the first to certify with the Coeliac Society.
In celebration of Organic September, I was sent a stash of Alara goodies to put through the taste test. The Great Taste Award Winning sensational Scottish oats organic gluten free porridge; and the delicious dreamy oats chocolate organic porridge, served up with banana slices, blueberries and crushed organic chocolate pieces was perfection in a bowl. Both Mouth-watering Mueslis, the date with cocoa organic with real cacao nibs and the organic gluten free with goji berries and cranberries, made the most perfectly brilliant breakfast pots.
Their Pertwood Farm organic fruit & seed muesli and the Of The Earth organic Yacon Syrup tasted yummy. Using a few scoops of the fruit & seed muesli in my homemade bread produced a lovely sweet bread loaf which paired well with the yacon syrup and a handful of fresh blueberries.
Start the day the right way with a bowl of Alara organic goodness.
Thank you for reading 😊

These guys have some great products. I tried one of them years ago but it seem their range has grown since then. I must take a look at the website as I will need some more breakfast foods soon.
