Gioia Blackburn Restaurant Review: March 2018
Newly launched in November 2017, Gioia located in Blackburn town centre is an Italian inspired Café Bar, that is an ideal hub, to catch up with friends, family or work colleagues.
An illuminated bar, awaits your arrival, so why not soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a pre-dinner mocktail or two. My strawberry mojito mocktail was light, fresh, fruity and fabulous.
The neutral décor, with cream wood furnishings, pretty pink & red flower table pots, rose gold cutlery, cute salt & pepper pots, along with floods of natural light, provides a nice space to entertain.
Starters included a range of simple salads, a classic caprese, beetroot and goats cheese, and some mini bruschetta topped with cherry tomatoes and lashings of cheese, along with a side serving of olives.
Light pasta dishes included the lasagne with a wedge of ciabatta and a side salad and the spinach & Ricotta Tortellini in a cheesey cream sauce.
A coffee and cake finish, included the strawberry cheesecake and the Walnut & coffee slice, all washed down with a lovely latte.
Thanks to our lovely server who was an absolute pleasure, she was professional, polite, personable and a real asset to the brand.
