The Anthologist Manchester Afternoon Tea #Review

The Anthologist Manchester Afternoon Tea Review: August 2018

Location One St Peters Square is the home of the Drake Morgan creation: The Anthologist Manchester City Centre. A relaxed homely hub, with a mix of eclectic décor, with a fresh fabulous natural vibe including planters, fresh fruit and herbs on display, throws, cosy scatter cushions, with a mix of bold and neutral colours that complement the ambience and atmosphere.

Offering a range of cocktails, spirits, beers and my choice the mocktails aka Absolut Proofs, you are spoilt for choice.  The Gorgeous Garden Fizz created with basil, blackberries, raspberries, lemon & agave.  The marvellous Market Fizz shaken with pomegranate juice, lemon, rose water, tonic & za’atar salt rim.

Also, the delicious Ginger Mimosa stirred up with orange juice, fresh ginger, rosemary & ginger ale.  Finally, the amazing Alchemist Cooler, rustled up with chilled peppermint tea, lemon, mint & tonic.

The Anthologist Afternoon Tea provides a generous serving of finger sandwiches, scones and beautiful cakes.

Sit back, chill and relax, as you look out on the view directly overlooking St Peters Square or why not head out and enjoy seating outside on the stunning alfresco terrace.  Even if there is a slight chill, Anthologist have you covered, and provide snug drake Morgan monogrammed fleeces to keep you cosy.

Before you leave make sure you check out the ladies.  Beautifully designed with butterfly detail and complimentary sweet treats too.

Make your Afternoon an Anthologist Afternoon!

  1. Okay, this place looks divine! And the drinks are so pretty! I’ve always loved tea and used to frequent a “tea room” bistro in my old hometown until it closed down a few years ago. Also, I loved all your photos as they are food-magazine worthy! Thanks for sharing!

  2. That bathroom is dreamy!! I love a really well decorated restaurant. I don’t get to eat out very often (momma to 2.5 very small kids) and so I like not only the food to be delicious but also the atmosphere!

  3. Melanie, this was a really good and refreshing read. I reckon you just added a unique vibrancy to a review of an eatery – I almost felt like I was there (and that I need to experience it in my life the soonest I get a chance). Photos just made me want to be there right now!

  4. This looks like a great place to go for afternoon tea. I enjoy indulging once in awhile and would definitely visit if I was in the area.
