Hilton Garden Inn Emirates Old Trafford Manchester #Review

Hilton Garden Inn Emirates Old Trafford Manchester Review: March 2019

Located just three miles from Manchester city centre, with on-site parking, officially opened in 2017, the Emirates Old Trafford’s Hilton Garden Inn was the final part of the venue’s multi-million-pound redevelopment.

Located on the site of the fabulous and famous Lancashire cricket pitch, the hotel has a really energy and excitement about the place.

The reception was warm, welcoming and gave good vibes right from the offset.  Throughout the stay all staff were wonderful and made the hotel feel like home.

Décor a mix of subtle shades with a relaxing upholstered cosy island seating area, with of course cricket on the television.

The well-designed premium room with king bed, had a Serta mattress which gave me a great night’s sleep.  Additionally, the room included a 40-inch HDTV, mini-refrigerator, and coffee/tea making facilities.  Also, complimentary WiFi and a wonderful work desk with ergonomic chair.

A fabulous fresh fruity welcome platter and card awaited our arrival, which was fab, a nice extra gesture.

Combined with the fact that we were in a Pitch Facing room, overlooking the Cricket Pitch, with an external private balcony was a breath-taking moment and really made me genuinely smile.

The pitch view is amazing and a must-see experience.  The external room balcony makes the ideal viewing platform especially when an event is live.

The bathroom had a sensible slide door system and was immaculate.  Contemporary, clean and classic with a range of complimentary toiletries.

The hotel has a business centre and the gorgeous Garden Grille and Bar, an ideal place to kick back and relax while taking in the surroundings including some fab cricket and event memorabilia adorning the walls.

Delicious dinner was a real pleasure and the staff could not do enough for us.  Why not opt for the Breads with Oil & Balsamic Vinegar and Olives, Feta & Sun-Blushed Tomatoes nibbles, served in cute potters, while you peruse through the menu offerings.

Super starters included the Vegetable Spring Roll with Asian slaw, plum purée & popped wild rice and the wonderful Wild Mushroom & Goat’s Cheese Arancini with roasted beetroot salad.

Meaty main included the 8oz Rib-Eye with chunky skin-on chips, portobello mushroom, confit tomato and a good splash of pepper sauce.  Also, the Spinach & Ricotta Tortellini in a white wine cream sauce.

Devine desserts included the scrummy Sticky Toffee Pudding & Vanilla Custard and a fantastic regional Cheeses platter, with Fruits & Biscuits.

Up early, well why not hit the onsite gym and get some training in and feel motivated for the day ahead.

The bountiful beautiful breakfast served in the on-site in the Garden Grille was a triumph.

Offering guests, a whole range of options including continental fresh fruit, cheese, pastries and their wonderful waffles which were super yummy.

Hot offerings included full English self-service and a vegetarian sausage choice which is always a plus.

Fancy a relaxed break, plenty of smiles and lots of fabulous food, well the Hilton Garden Inn Emirates at Old Trafford Manchester is the place for you.

Thank you for reading 😊

  2. I love the design and how cozy it looks. Next time we do a family vacation, we’ll have to stay here. I love how fancy the bar area looks. I’ve heard a lot of the Hilton inn’s, never had the chance of staying in one.

  3. We always stay at Hiltons when we can as the Husband uses them for his business travel. This one looks lovely and a great place to stay in Manchester. That hotel name is a bit of a mouthful though!

  4. The greeting you get at the front desk really makes the important impression and feel of a hotel instantly so I’m glad you got a welcoming one and made to feel comfortable. I love how your room overlooks the cricket pitch that is an unique view and certainly a great talking point for recommending a place to stay!
