LOCKEDIN Games York Review: April 2019

LOCKEDIN Games York, located opposite the Yorkshire Museum, is an exciting escape experience where you and your squad can test their mind and motivation to see if you have all got what it takes to escape within 60 minutes.

Both Rages to Riches and Caught in the Act, custom built escape rooms, cleverly incorporate York as a theme, while still retaining the quality and authenticity of the rooms.

Puzzles made sense and structured well, challenged your mind, but without frustration.  The games masters are also super duper lovely too.

Caught in the Act Escape Room

It’s your time to get your razzle dazzle on, be the star of the show and with jazz hands at the ready you open the dressing room door to make your grand stage entrance, but only to find the door has been locked.

Sabotage by your under study or perhaps a simple door jam hmm? Either way all that matters is you must get out within 60 minutes, as the Show must go on with or without you and you don’t want your acting career to be over before it’s begun.

Rags to Riches Escape Room

Feeling the chill outside, with only a few coins left in your pocket, as you sleep out on the cobbles of the Museum Gardens, things are looking pretty grim.  Until you are told you have been left a huge inheritance by a mysterious old lady across the street.

Lucky you…well so you thought, but the courts have now declared demolition on the old lady’s property, and you have just one hour to find her riches. Coin onto the challenges and clues before it’s too late and you are left destitute, dreams destructed and reduced to rubble.

Interesting, interactive and immersive heart pounding game play, we managed to escape both times, but the question is can you? Get the squad and take on the challenge to find out.

Thank you for reading 😊

  1. This is where smuggling the cheetah in would prove helpful……just throw some antelope, err, catnip on the room handlers and see how fast they open the door.

I would love to try and solve one of these escape rooms.

  2. I have never done an escape room but it is something my husband and I have talked about doing. It seems like the experience would be so awesome.

  3. I haven’t done one of these yet, but they sound so fun. I definitely need to pick the right people to go with though, I think my husband is too competitive! 😀

  4. I lobe the set up of being told you have a hour to find the riches left by the old lady and using clues and logic to work it out in time.
