The Stoller Hall Manchester: Wind in the Willows & Lucy Rose #Review

The Stoller Hall Manchester: Wind in the Willows & Lucy Rose – Review: June 2019

The Stoller Hall concert venue based in Chetham’s School of Music, is right in the heart of Manchester city centre.

David Threlfall, star of Shameless and direct from the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Don Quixote, performed the central role of Mr Badger in this wonderful Wind in the Willows adaptation by Neil brand with Stephen Threlfall as the conductor.

Neil Brand’s marvellous musical adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s children’s classic, The Wind in the Willows which was originally created as a radio drama by BBC Radio 4, follows the exciting and entertaining tales of Badger, Mole, Rat, Toad and friends.

Classic, charming and a sheer delightfully funny and fantastic delivery, of characterful river tales, trials and tribulations.  Plenty of gasps and giggles given even more oomph with live music, talented singers and scripts acted out with love.

An intriguing, interesting and immersive production.

Pirates be ready to play the Tortuga Pirates game.  Ahoy matey, it was all hands-on deck at Port Royal 1718, as there was munity aboard the Mariposa ship.

My scally crew decided to lock myself Captain Williams and some of my loyal crew members in the ships prison, but this can’t stop us getting over to Tortuga island to find Derdrake’s buried treasure.

Derdrake’s treasure is needed to destroy a curse, that will transform us into a spectre, but we only have until full moon before the curse transforms us for all eternity.

Honest Burgers Manchester #Review

Honest Burgers Manchester – Review: May 2019

Marvellous Manchester, great news, Honest Burgers have arrived in town, located on Bridge Street, slap bang in Manchester city centre.

Manager Chelsea, Wonderful waitress Holly and all the team are an amazing bunch, informal, friendly and fabulous!

Interiors are relaxed with a mix of open brickwork, natural muted colours, booths, tables for two and sharing tables if you feel in the mood to socialise.

Honest is the place to go for bob on burgers and a bit of banter too! My ultimate fav burger at honest is the perfect Plant Burger, a vegan lushness from Beyond Meat with vegan smoked Gouda, rubies in the Rubble Chipotle ‘Mayo’, red onion, mustard, lettuce and those lovely little punchy pickles.

Honest like to mix things up a little, so a recent collab with Mother Clucker, brought us a fab fried chicken, bacon and cheese burger to the menu served with pepper sauce, lime mayo, pickles and lettuce.
