A Fabulous Foodie Stay with Store Street Exchange at the DoubleTree by Hilton® Hotel Manchester Piccadilly #Review

A Fabulous Foodie Stay with Store Street Exchange at the DoubleTree by Hilton® Hotel Manchester Piccadilly– Review

The DoubleTree by Hilton® Hotel Manchester Piccadilly, located in Manchester city centre, is ideal for both business and leisure.

Go from train to room in record time, as the hotel is just a few minute’s walk from Manchester Piccadilly train station.

An exciting, electric and eclectic part of the city where you can even watch Manchester’s iconic yellow trams pass by.

Synonymous with the welcome on arrival, the room was just as warm and wonderful.  A cosy home away from home, with a super snug Sweet Dreams® bed, flat screen TV, Complimentary wifi, mineral water and sky sports channels.

Work like a boss, at the desk area, and stay cool & calm under pressure in your fully air-conditioned room with fantastic floor-to-ceiling opening windows, as nice to let in some fresh air, while taking in the city views.

Super spoilt by the hotel, as we received a fully loaded complimentary mini bar, so we could stay snacked up and hydrated during our stay.

Freshen up and feel fabulous in your en-suite bathroom with power shower, brilliant vanity area and a range of complimentary toiletries.

The onsite Store Street Craft Bar and Store Street Exchange restaurant, tag line is ‘Exchange the ordinary for something Extraordinary’ and they are not wrong.

Beautiful rustic interiors, the perfect place to people watch and an ideal cosy homely hub to enjoy a meal out with family, friends or colleagues.  Staff are friendly and fabulous including Alex, Sienna and the lovely Josh.

Even though the restaurant was busy, the way seating has been designed and spaced out, you still had your own personal space to enjoy both dining and drinking, in comfort and style.

Chow down on some Puttanesca olives and Store Street artisan breads along with a mocktail, cocktail or a craft beer while you peruse their exciting menu.

Sensational starters comprised of the Bury black pudding & apple sausage roll, Stokes brown sauce and the rustic chopped salad, baby gem, tomatoes, cucumber, marinated feta cheese.

Marvellous mains included the Great Northern Pie Co Artisan steak pie with creamed potato, peas & garlic gravy.  Also the super scrummy Roast cauliflower, spiced sweet potato, natural yogurt with added on sides of Tender stem broccoli, sesame dressing and skin on fires, all of which tasted amazing!

Delightful desserts enjoyed, the Melt in the middle chocolate pudding with salted caramel ice cream and the tangy rotisserie pineapple with vanilla pod ice cream.  Enjoyed with this excellent ‘off-menu’ Margaretta mixed up by Jacob.

Wake up workout got us energised, at the onsite gym, that has a whole range of equipment and absorb the city views, as you work up a sweat.

Head down to the Store Street Exchange to enjoy morning offerings in their relaxed and chilled hub.

A beautiful and bountiful buffet breakfast awaits offering fresh juices, smoothies, fruit, cereal, pastries, breads and much more.

Along with a drinks station offering chic coffee, teas and a whole range of herbal teas too.

Hot options such as the full English and the vegetarian sausages are delicious.

Before your departure, pay a visit to the friendly first-floor lounge, overseen on the day by the pleasant and charming Stephen, stocked with tea, coffee, fruit and sweeties, the ideal place to kick back and relax, catch up on all those emails or simply a peaceful place to wait for your ongoing connections.

Need somewhere more private, well the hotel has many meeting room options including their super stunning SkyLounge, a private space with unrivalled Manchester city skyline views.

Fabulous food, super friendly staff, amazing amenities…what’s not to like!

  8. Double Tree Hilton seems to be a lovely choice for accommodation. I loved the interior of the rooms and how cosy it looks. It’s like a luxurious stay without putting a hole in one’s pocket and that too with all the modern amenities. The food seems mouthwatering. I am sold.
