Sapporo Teppanyaki Manchester Restaurant #Review

Sapporo Teppanyaki Manchester Restaurant Review: May 2019

With over 15 years’ experience serving Japanese cuisine in the UK, Sapporo Teppanyaki Manchester which opened in 2005 and is situated just around the corner from the Museum of Science and Industry is a city centre hot spot that is worth a visit.

Along with the warm welcome and service from both Callum and Saeed, the Japanese themed surroundings set the tone and ambience for a fab evening of entertainment and dining.

Pre-nibbles included the yummy lotus root crisps with wasabi mayonnaise, all washed down with a mocktail and Sapporo beer.

As our Master chef prepared, we enjoyed starters of chicken gyoza and vegetable spring roll, vegetable tempura and vegetable hoso.

Excited to begin our high energy interactive experience, where your food is cooked right there in front of you, with enthusiasm, expertise and great skill.

Feel the flames and finesse from the master chef, as you watch a legend create your culinary cuisine.  Chefs here clearly have the ultimate confidence to perform in a pressured environment yet deliver on both skill and entertainment levels.

Ooo and you get to join in too, get ready to catch a potato slice or two, as they will be coming your way. I aced it, first time boom!

Along with potato slices you also enjoy, egg fried rice, stir fry, chicken and the tasty tofu steak.  All food delightful and delicious.

The drinks menu is extensive with a range of beers, Sake, wine, cocktails and some fab non-alcoholic cocktails too.

Chocolate, cheesecake and more chocolate for dessert,,,yes please! The chocolate spring rolls hit the spot and perfectly paired with the flowering tea.

Enjoy pre or post dinner drinks in the relaxed bar area, lit with subdued lighting, decorated with traditional Japanese designed Asian panel Shoji screens and a wooden spinning wheel from the Kyoto region circa 1890.

Great service, excellent entertainment from our Master chef and fabulous food and drinks, Sapporo Teppanyaki not just a dinner out, but an interactive and immersive experience.

Thank you for reading 😊
