Luckily, we got upgraded to an excellent executive room which had the most marvellous printed wallpaper with a winter train scene.

The room was clean, contemporary and offered a fabulous tea/coffee tray along with a well designed desk area and chill out sofa zone to enjoy your refreshments.

Bathroom facilities included a fabulous rainfall shower, illuminated mirror, complimentary toiletries and full-length mirrors.

The onsite Soap Factory Lounge and Kitchen was ideal for a drink before heading off out into Leeds.

For fitness fans, you are well looked after, as the Novotel Leeds had a sauna, steam room, shower area with complimentary apples to keep you going.

The hotels onsite gym had all the equipment required for a full body workout along with a Leeds city view.

After a day and evening out in Leeds, you can look forward to a the beautiful buffet breakfast in the morning.

Plentiful and perfectly presented you are spoilt for choice with continental offerings such as pasties, fruit, juices, cereals, cheese and meats.

Excitingly they had a self-use wonderful waffle and pancake machine with toppings such as syrup and Nutella.

Get cosy with the family in one of their snug booths or take a window by the table, as you enjoy the hot buffet offerings such as full British breakfast options and vegetarian sausages too!

After breakfast over at the Novotel, make time for some you time at the Crowne Plaza Leeds Spa, also in Leeds city centre.

The package includes Afternoon tea with Spa access for two, so take the plunge and indulge.

Make use of the super-sized swimming pool and take the heat up a notch in the sauna and steam rooms.

Get bubbly in the Jacuzzi and simply soak, chill out, as you watch the world go by.

Energised and enthusiastic you make want to work out in the spas onsite gym which has a whole range of excellent equipment.

After all this hard work, it would be wrong not to have a sweet treat or two, so head on through to the LS1 Kitchen and bar for your Afternoon Tea.

Afternoon tea includes sandwiches, scones, cakes and of course tea or coffee.
