Hotel Indigo and The Club & Spa Birmingham Review: August 2019

Hotel Indigo Birmingham, located on the banks of the cities industrial and historical canal network, located within the cosmopolitan cube complex is a hip and happening hub.

The ideal place to enjoy all that Birmingham has to offer in a plush and prestigious iconic building which has sleek sophisticated handcrafted furnishings and delightful decor.

The vibrant hotel reception is the ideal welcome, with fabulous futuristic lighting to match the buildings cube façade.  Loved the room number illuminated in a light box cube which led into the king feature room.

A cosy and plush king-sized bed displayed with a brilliant Birmingham cushion detail.

Fabulous floor to ceiling windows showcased views across the cube complex and Birmingham city centre. Ideal to sit back on the bed, relax and watch the world go by.

Along with the coffee machine, over at the vanity desk, the wardrobe had all those must need items to make your stay super snug including a dressing gown, slippers, tea tray with biscuits, bottled water and crisps.

The Bathroom featured an illuminated mirror, rainfall walk in shower and complimentary toiletries to use throughout your stay.

Once checked in and settled why not head out and take a walk along the Cube’s Canal side to soak up some of Birmingham’s industrial past.

Perhaps pop a padlock on the bridge with your loved one or enjoy a spot of retail therapy in the Mailbox mall which is practically on your doorstep.

The Club and Spa Birmingham

After all the hustle and bustle its time to wind down and enjoy some well deserved you time in the Cube’s onsite Club & Spa.

Pop on your complimentary flip flops and make your way into pure blissfulness.  Birmingham’s best kept secret is now out, a lovely luxurious spa in the city where you can indulge and be pampered, while you kick back and relax.

The range of facilities onsite is amazing including a well equipped gym,  uplifting dry and wet thermal rooms.

An incredible vitality pool complete with massage jets and a wonderful waterfall feature.  Why not turn up the heat and enjoy their relaxing sauna and steam rooms.

Relax your mind, body and soul further by enjoying a luxurious elemis spa treatment package, with treatments such as facials, massages, body scrub to name a few.

Natalie my qualified and experienced therapist was wonderful, a calm and relaxing individual who knew exactly how to look after a spa client.

After treatments hang around and chill in their unique hanging pods in the zen relaxation suite where you can immerse yourself in peace and tranquillity.

After all this fuss and pampering its time to enjoy some fabulous food, so make your way to the 25th floor to the Cube’s Marco Pierre White’s offering panoramic city centre views.

Marco Pierre White’s Birmingham

Afternoon tea was fabulous, with Eva and Oliver taking care of all our needs, as we enjoyed hand cut sandwiches, scrummy scones with clotted cream and jam.

While enjoying fizz and mocktails, as we chowed down on our super tasty sweet treats.

The musical melodies from the piano and trumpets, delivered with flare and style of course, providing a very entertaining atmosphere.

After a perfect nights sleep, mornings begin at Marcos on the 25th floor, with a beautiful breakfast buffet for all your continental offerings.

Including a range of fabulous fresh fruit, fruit cake, cookies, cheese, meats, cereals, seeds, pastries and juices.

The buffet breakfast offerings are plentiful, but more importantly still deliver on quality, and all enjoyed with a view of Birmingham’s city skyline.

Fancy a cooked breakfast, no problem, the chef team are on hand to provide a fully served hot breakfast including options such as the full English and vegetarian breakfast.

The Cube, classy, chic, contemporary hub housing a homely hotel, excellent eateries and a super spa and club…what’s not to like. Just make sure you make this your home when you Visit Birmingham.

  2. There’s a Hotel Indigo in Fort Myers, Florida, where I grew up. I’ve photographed a wedding there before, but never stayed at the hotel. It looks like it’s a great option, and I’ll have to see how the one I know of compares to the one you have.

  6. This place is marvelous! I’m a sucker for modern boutique hotels – and this one is so stylish and beautiful. The hanging pods are out of this world! That the whole thing is a spa makes it even more perfect. You wouldn’t want to leave such a cool hotel – except the old industrial canal area looks awesome to explore as well!
