Harry Ramsden Blackpool #Review

Harry Ramsden Blackpool Review: August 2019

Oh we do like to be beside the seaside…well when the sunshine is out, the blanket blue sky setting makes beautiful Blackpool a breath-taking sight.

Rock up to Harry Ramsden Blackpool, no bucket and spade required, to enjoy Fish & Chips inside Blackpool’s most prestigious and iconic landmark – Blackpool Tower.

From Beach to bar, Harry’s has taken Blackpool’s signature seaside theme, as the inspiration for their new look restaurant.  Why not enjoy a martini or a virgin Pina colada at the bar before you chow down?

Décor a classy chic vibe with intimate booth style seating, ideal for family, friends or a casual date night out.

Cleverly, the brand has managed to incorporate the seaside theme, without vulgarity, including rope featured striped bulb lighting, ceiling netting representing a fishers’ net and shabby vintage blue rustic lamps giving that effortless seaside chic.

Manager Andrew, our server Jordan along with the rest of the team made us feel welcome throughout service.  Attentive but not intrusive, service delivered with a natural organic flare.

Food is fabulous, a must try is the camembert rounds all washed down with a crushed lime mint fruit spritz and a super charged Mojito cocktail.

The traditional fresh Fish & Chips along with a good dollop of mushy peas was a hit.  Harry opened his first restaurant in 1928 and they still serve his fabulous and famous recipe over 90+ years later.

Also, the more contemporary dish of the delicious Halloumi & Pesto burger, topped with roasted peppers served with chips and coleslaw, was lip-smacking yumminess.  My plus one wondered where the burger had gone, but I had scoffed it in record time.

Go big and bang on some sides such as curry, gravy, gherkins and some super onion rings.

Finish on a sweet note and enjoy sticky toffee pudding with custard and the brilliant chocolate brownie and ice cream.  Both desserts are also gluten free too, so an absolute winner all round.

Usually, the ladies are not mentioned during a review, but cool classy colours, rope mirrors and striped wood give that beach hut feel.  Making the place even more #GoodTimeVibes.

Nudge, Nudge, Wink, Wink the cheeky secret is now out, get around to Harry Ramsden, enjoy and bring on Blackpool in style.

Thank you for reading 😊

  1. I am a total sucker for great fish and chips! The brownie and ice cream had me drooling. My husband and I generally share desserts like that, but we have to order an extra side of ice cream, that way he can’t steal my share. Harry Ramsden sounds and looks like a wonderful dining experience for anyone!

  2. I remember going here years ago but we had it to take away I opted for two different fishcakes I never knew they were so big we ended up having to sit down somewhere so I could eat my meal rather than walk along as planned

  3. Loving the cozy ambiance of the place. But what would be more inviting is the food! The fish and chips look so delicious in the photo! Oh, and I would have a double order of the brownie and ice cream if I get to dine there.

  4. Melanie,

Thank you for the Harry Ramsden Blackpool Review. It sounds like a wonderful place. I’d love to sit in a seaside restaurant sipping Mojito right now. I like the interior decor. Attentive but not intrusive service becomes rare these days.

I wish I could be enjoying the view, food, and service right now

  6. Oh I do love a good fish n chips dinner at the seaside. We’ve visited Harry Ramsdens in the tower before however it looks so much nicer now it’s been refurbished. I love the greater range of options on the menu now too.
