East Lancashire Railway Mid-week Luncheon – Review

East Lancashire Railway Mid-week Luncheon – Review: September 2019

The Bolton street station stop at Bury’s East Lancashire Railway has a rich historic industrial past, with story’s telling of the drastic decline of the traditional railways, and the heart-warming heroic struggles, both past and present, to keep a dying part of Britain’s railway heritage alive for future generations.

The atmosphere on the platform is electrifying, as the steam engine pumps and churns, excitement and anticipation build, as you prepare to be taken on an amazing journey back to the Golden Age of Steam.

Step on the platform and enter a bygone era of transportation and travel, board the vintage train and embark on a special and sophisticated kind of travel experience.

The vintage carriages are perfectly presented, immaculate and are a real breath-taking beauty.

The glamour and indulgence continue, as you sit back on beautifully upholstered seating fully complete with the bells and whistles, including clean and crisp fresh white table linen along with the best in bespoke dinnerware’s.

The mid-week luncheon served in courses with tea or coffee, begins with bread rolls and a lovely main.  We opted for the vegetarian option the tasty Tomato & Halloumi Bake with Red Pepper Orzo, delicious!

As you chow down, you are whisked through the lovely Lancashire countryside.

A brief stop a Rawtenstall station provides opportunity to stretch your legs and pose for a few snaps.  Look down the carriage and wave as you prepare to depart the station.

A sweet finale, was a delightful and delicious dessert of Clementine & Pomegranate Pudding with homemade custard washed down with tea and a Dining with Distinction after lunch chocolate.

Dining with distinction where team dedication and detail delivery guests with the ultimate dining experience.

Edinburgh city centre, the location for an exciting escape game experience at Escape Reality Edinburgh.

Alex and the team, super accommodating, welcomed us warmly and made us feel instantly relaxed, getting us in the zone and ready to game play.

Machina

A team of expert scientists and programmers had been painstakingly sourced and put together to perform ground-breaking experiments in order to create the first true artificial intelligence on Earth.

Accepted onto the team and quickly ushered into their secret headquarters, we noticed something was odd, as scientists were disappearing and an increase in robots showing human traits.

Escape Reality Edinburgh Machina and Nosferatu Escape Games Review 2

On trying to leave, to report these strange happenings, the door is bolted tight, we are locked in with the rest of the team.  Escape or become part of the Machina experiment.  We smashed it, but the question is can you?

Nosferatu

It’s 1841, a time of dark happenings where vampires exist in a small region of Romania, West Transylvania.

Lucardo Manchester The Prison Escape Game Review: September 2019

A moody Manchester afternoon, location Virginia House, to take part in The Prison, NEW for 2019, an exciting, interactive and immersive escape game experience.  Including not just a full background story, but a continuing story development throughout your game play.

My gang of dodgy and underhanded criminals are down for being banged up into a Category A prison facility in Manchester after allegedly committing a series of crimes…of course we are innocent…well we like to think we are haha.

After a little convo and persuasion our connections on the inside are going to stage a riot providing the ideal opportunity for use to escape and get back to what we do best – crime!

With limited time, you need to deceive, lie and bribe to get out of this scumhole…getting a prison on side would be a good start, but that scum is hard to turn.

Manchester High Street, just a hop, skip and a jump away from the Manchester Arndale shopping complex, is in an ideal city centre location.

Team and I just going about leading our regular life’s suddenly find ourselves locked in an abandoned basement with no obvious route of escape – captured!

Some people are ungrateful to be alive, the idea of the game creator and his sinister game play.  A creepy feeling takes over, as a video begins to play… if you don’t want to play well you will die, so make sure you use your 60 minutes well or your life will come to an end…
