York Cocoa Works Festive Afternoon Chocolatada Review: January 2020
This lovely cute, independent quality Chocolate café York cocoa Works is run by owner Sophie along with her team including the marvellous Michelle.
Their beautiful bespoke city centre York location is the perfect place to escape the crowds and enjoy some you time.
Fixtures and fittings have been carefully thought out mixing the traditional and contemporary to create a warm and welcoming hub.
Get cosy and snug and craft your very own chocolate lollipops, perfect to gift or enjoy for yourself.
Why not go all out and enjoy an exquisite York Cocoa Works Festive Afternoon Chocolatada…pure yumminess!
The bonus about being independent is their ability to tailor make options especially when it comes to dietary requirements. Not only were dietaries such as no milk, no egg etc not a problem, but the way Michelle reassured myself before the visit put my mind at ease.
The range of offerings impressive, as always, including a lovely super soup with pastry wheel or star.
The main super slate was packed with yummy chocolate treats, gingerbread, along with scones, jam and cream/coconut cream, all scoffed in record time and washed down with herbal and earl grey tea.
A must is their signature hot chocolate…absolute triumph! Their festive Afternoon tea has now ended but fear not as they now have their new season Afternoon Chocolatada menu for 2020.
Afternoon in a relaxed environment without the stress, faff or fuss…yes please.

We wanted to do this when we were in York last year but we didn’t have time! It’s definitely on the list of things to do on our next visit though. It looks incredible! 🙂
