Raise the Roof with the St George’s Hotel Llandudno Review: August 2020 #Gifted

North Wales, destination lovely Llandudno, for a super sunny seaside staycation.

The St George’s Hotel Llandudno sits in a prominent position on the promenade and is proudly Llandudno’s first luxury seafront hotel.

In the spring of 1854 Isaiah Davies, who was born on a farm on the Great Orme, at just 24 years old built the St George’s Hotel.

The hotel has hosted many conferences and seven British Prime Ministers including Churchill!

Now it’s your turn to enjoy some lavish luxury.  Make your way up the sweeping red carpeted steps for a seaside staycation like no other.

Reach new heights and Raise the Roof and enjoy one of the St George’s delightful Deluxe Sea-View Rooms with balcony.

Offering breath-taking panoramic views of the Llandudno seaside resort from the highest point of the hotel – The Rooftop.

Usually the St Georges fly the Welsh flag, but in a fitting tribute to the hardworking staff within the NHS they are flying fabulously with the NHS logo flag.

The Rooftop lounge is the perfect place to retreat and chill out while enjoying the in room complimentary tea tray, biscuits and bottled water.

The room provides a perfect vanity/work area with plenty of storage space.  Also, plenty of plug sockets for all your tech gadgets.

A super large flatscreen television with digital information pages helps you to plan activities while in the area.

The stunning spa inspired bathroom features a beautiful big bathtub, stand up power shower with complimentary Elemis toiletries for the duration of your stay.

The double sinks, snug robes and waffle slippers provide a romantic and luxury feel to your stay.

Sunshine, blue skies, birds and balcony drinks, the perfect way to enjoy your own exclusive and private balcony space.

Due to Covid-19 the restaurant and bar at the St Georges was not open during our visit, but no problem at all as we enjoyed drinks and dinner on our beautiful balcony.

The chefs cater for dietary needs, as long as you provide advance communications, I found the service exceptional.

The Rooftop balcony for private dining is the perfect way to enjoy a special anniversary dinner celebration for two.

Scrummy starters included a lovely vegetable crudité with hummus, olives and gluten free bread.  The potato and leak soups was equally as tasty.

Mouth watering mains such as a super fresh quinoa avocado salad and   fish & chips by the seaside just had to be done and with a good dollop of mushy peas.

Delicious desserts scoffed in record time, the gluten free vegan chocolate brownies with ice cream and the generous cheeseboard served with fruity chutney and grapes.

Fabulous food offerings provided on both nights showed how consistently good the food quality and service are at the St George’s.  Fresh and vibrant vegetable soups, burgers, and crème brûlée are yummy.

Now with a balcony like that you need to enjoy, and it is the perfect opportunity to strike a pose and take some photos.

As day turns into night, Llandudno looks even more beautiful with coloured sky providing a stunning backdrop.

Enjoy the morning sunrise and watch the cool cloud formations, as you relax and soak up the tranquil peaceful natural beauty mother nature has to offer.

Balcony Breakfast are a beautiful thing and a nice way to enjoy morning offerings with fresh sea air and views to boot.

Don a fluffy robe, the waffle slippers and make yourself at home while enjoy some toast and tea for two.

Alternatively before breakfast take a walk on the beach which is only a hop, skip and a jump away, another perk of staying at the St Georges Hotel.

Want to chill instead well imagine breakfast in bed with the sound of the sea waves, it is one of the most relaxing experiences ever.

Lazy lounge mornings are a great way to enjoy some breakfast as you enjoy television and a read of the morning papers.

No need to chase the rainbow as the St George’s Hotel Llandudno have all you need, so sit back relax and enjoy the wonderful Welsh views.

Exceptional service, amazing accommodations, stunning views and fabulous food and drinks what’s not to like.

Stay Alert and Stay Safe

  1. What a beautiful place! I absolutely love North Wales anyway so staying here would be a dream! Those sea view rooms are absolutely amazing (I could happily sit out there all day just enjoying the sound of the sea and a good book!). It sounds like you had a lovely time and this looks like the perfect place to kick back and relax.
