Enjoy some Rest & Relaxation with the Rena Spa at the Midland #Review

Enjoy some Rest & Relaxation with the Rena Spa at the Midland Review: September 2020 #Gifted

The Rena Spa at the Midland hotel Manchester is now welcoming back day spa guests, for indulgent decadent luxury spa experiences, to relax, unwind and enjoy some much needed you time.

Jordan and all the spa reception team always provide the loveliest of welcomes providing your spa introduction, treatment choices and of course fluffy robes and cosy slippers to make your spa day that little bit extra.

Rena have a range of super spa packages including the Indulgence which includes a 50-minute treatment, a glass of champagne, a light lunch or afternoon tea and a £10 gift voucher to spend on spa products.

The wet facilities include a relaxation pool, swan neck fountain and what spa day would be complete without a few bubbles with their wonderful Jacuzzi.

Once government regulations allow the steam room and sauna will also re-open to give you even more facilities to enjoy.

The Rena Relaxation suite is a whole world of escape, float away in pods, contemporary modern hub chairs or enjoy one of the private rooms all logistically designed with safety and social distancing in mind.

Treatments at the Rena are exceptional, my therapist Stephanie H was not only a lovely lady, but professional, personable and knowledgeable.

The contouring invigorating body wrap was like being dipped in a jar of honey without the stickiness and my results was skin that was left peachy, soft, silky and smooth.

The balancing and detoxifying treatment involved gentle exfoliation with crushed cabernet scrub, followed by application of contouring concentrate, designed to help boost metabolism, ease away tension and speed up the elimination of toxins.

You are then massaged in vine body butter and then wrapped to cocoon the skin with hydration. The experience included a full scalp treatment for total relaxation.

The products used for your treatments are the Caudalie range and as the spa has a boutique you can buy some lovely spa products to enjoy at home.

Now after all that rest and relaxation, we certainly had hungry tummies, so the afternoon tea included within our package was most welcomed.

Tea began with a lovely warm welcome from the lovely Midland team members Biyan and the wonderful William.

Enjoy a glass of the obligatory fizzy stuff along with srummy sandwiches, scones and sweet treats.

Dietaries are well catered for with including Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten free which is nice to see.

The hand cut sandwiches on gluten free bread are delicious and have a range of fabulous fillings.  The home baked scones with jam and cream are a Midland tradition and work well with the sweet treats including my favourite the mint chocolate macaroon…yummy.

Rest, relaxation and some you time, the Rena Spa at the Midland is the place to be.

  1. Wow the place looks awesome, serene and relaxing. I miss my parlor and the body spa. Nowadays my beautician comes at home with all safety precautions but cant do spa at home.

  2. This looks like such a great spa. I can’t believe I’d never heard of it before! I’m hoping to squeeze a spa day in for my birthday (providing we’re not back in lockdown by mid-October of course) so I’ll definitely be checking out their website 🙂

  3. That trip to the spa looks like the most perfect way to spend an afternoon! I think everyone should take the time to spoil themselves once in a while. It does wonders for the mind, body, and soul.

  4. This sounds like such an incredible way to ‘escape’ and relax for a bit. I love the floating pods! Honestly, I could really go for a spa getaway right about now. I should look into which local areas have availability at this time, and which don’t. I know that some have been hesitant to reopen with everything going on, but I’m sure there’s an option!
