In 1997 Ed started COOK as a frozen meal business in a small Farnham shop. Luckily Dale, one of Eds clients, just happened to be a chef, so Ed persuaded him to quit his job and they joined forces.
Through many trials and tribulations COOK opened more shops and offered more home delivery options. Fast forward to 2013 and COOK became one of the UK’s first certified B Corps that form part of a global commitment to do business right for people and the planet.
COOK are committed to making the world a better place by giving back to the community with the caring Hands programme, One Feeds Two, FoodCycle. Also, reducing food waste and acting on climate change, as since October 2017 have been purchasing renewable electricity for their shops and kitchens resulting in their carbon footprint shrinking by a third!
Employees voted COOK one of the top 100 Sunday Times best companies to work for and they have been on the list ever since. COOK have been certified by the living wage foundation since July 2015.
After 20 Years Dale retired in 2017 and Ed now heads the business alongside his sister Rosie as co-CEOs together with their team are still as committed as ever to bring you the absolute best home cooked meals, so you can go from freezer to plate in no time.
No need to queue up at the supermarket, as with COOK you are still able to eat healthy and save time. Dietary needs are also catered for as they offer a range of Gluten Free, Vegetarian, Vegan and No Dairy options
