Gourmet Burger Kitchen Manchester Spinningfields Review: October 2017
The Gourmet Burger Kitchen brand began in 2001, when world famous chef Peter Gordon along with three kiwi guys set up their first Gourmet Burger Kitchen site in Battersea South London. Now, fast forward to 2017 and they now have over 80 restaurants across the UK. The focus is on quality handcrafted burgers using the freshest ingredients and creating all their burger sauces daily from scratch.
Located Left Bank along the River Irwell, in the heart of Spinningfields is Manchester’s Gourmet Burger Kitchen. The delightful outdoor terrace is great for some al fresco dining in the sun. Décor is light, airy loft feel with contemporary light fittings and table sections. There is a selection of help yourself condiments such as the red and green hot sauces. Service is casual with a relaxed vibe.
Welcomed warmly by the team, we got settled and while perusing the menu, we enjoyed some liquid refreshments including the Meantime London Pale Ale, which has both Kentish and American hops, that give a citrus flavour with a bitter finish. Also, the non-alcoholic Strawberry and elderflower fizz which visually looked lovely and refreshed the taste buds.
Côte Manchester Vegetarian Menu Review: October 2017
Magnificent Manchester Côte Brasserie, located on St Mary’s Street, is a fabulous family friendly French brasserie with all the elegance and charm of a quaint, rustic and rural, French village eatery with a twist of contemporary and classy city chic. Think Brittany meets Gers with a hint of Paris.
Awaiting our arrival, the amazing Ashleigh seated us in a light filled booth space, with wonderful windows opening onto the city streets. A homely hearty hub, from which to watch the world go by and observe the city dwellers eclectic tastes and styles. Carlos, our server, whom I have previously met, had no need to polish up his waiter skills, as he provided super slick, stress-free and sensational service as usual – a real pro!

Jack Daniels Barbecue Sauces Review: September 2017
Jack Daniel was not a fictitious character and was in fact a real person and the creator of Jack Daniel’s® Tennessee Whiskey in 1866. Jack Daniel’s® Tennessee Whiskey is made using quality and old school methods, at one of America’s oldest registered distilleries in Lynchburg Tennessee. Packed into the glaze and sauces is either real Jack Daniel’s® Tennessee Whiskey or Tennessee Honey.
Jack Daniel’s ® range of barbecue sauces have launched under license by the Baxters Food Group. Excited to be sent a full case of Jack Daniels barbeque sauces, which included Full Flavor Smokey, Smooth Original, Extra Hot Habanero and Smokey Sweet Barbecue Glaze, I was ready to create some Vegetarian foodie delights.
Pizza Express Manchester King Street Review: July 2017
Perfect Pizza with Pizazz can be had at the new Pizza Express situated in an enviable location, just off Albert’s Square, at the top of King street in Manchester city centre. Housed within a gorgeous grand 19th century building, the restaurants décor is swish and stunning. High ceilings give the place a spacious airy feel and some of the original architectural features have been retained which works well. Contemporary decor additions have been themed around playing cards, including wall prints and within the detail of the booth dividers. A mix of the old and the new décor works extremely well.
Enzo Manchester Review: June 2017
Enzo located on Fountain Street in the heart of Manchester city centre, began through a chance encounter, yes, it is cliché, but it is the truth. Car not starting and needing to get into work, the owner of what we now know as Enzo, hopped a ride on the bus and was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by an Italian driver called Enzo who was wearing a bright booming smile. The bus journeys continued for the next few weeks, as the car was a little more out of service than first thought. Enzo’s energy was energetic, but his true love was pizza and coffee, a bond between owner and Enzo was formed and the decision was made to set up shop. Sadly, Enzo had to return home, as his mother was unwell, but right there Enzo was born and the rest was history.
EAT. Manchester Arndale Review: May 2017
With 20 years’ experience and over 100 shops based in the United Kingdom EAT. know a thing or two about fab fresh food. Seasonal changes mean that new fresh innovative menus are launched frequently. Food waste is also managed at EAT. where the brand donates as many of their leftover sandwiches and salads as possible to local charities that work with the homeless. They also work closely with the homeless charity Crisis, so this is a winner for me!
