Located in an enviable postcode, the fabulous Forth Floor Restaurant, at Harvey Nichols Edinburgh city centre, offers diners an exquisite experience with sensational views including the iconic Edinburgh Castle.
On the menu included super service along with a showcase of sensational and innovative dishes using the finest Scottish produce. For example, all steaks are Scotch beef certified and sourced locally from Shaw’s Fine Meats based in Lauder, 25 miles south of Edinburgh.
A lovely lunch began with an unexpected pre-course, with the most amazing Artisan bread, delicious soup and fresh butter beautifully displayed on a pretty pebble. Enjoyed with still water and the Harvey Nichols, Sparkling Chardonnay, Australia, NV, a nice non-alcoholic adult alternative to wine.
Starters included the yummy Pumpkin hummus, pumpkin seed dukkah, harissa, Greek yoghurt, grilled flatbread and also the show stopping Hand-dived Orkney scallop, roasted langoustine, oxtail croquette, beetroot gel, apple, and vanilla bisque.
Mouth-watering mains included the Super-food salad, a mix of grilled courgette, quinoa, baby spinach, tender stem broccoli, avocado, edamame beans, pomegranate and lemon dressing. Also the brilliant Boarders beef fillet, sweet potato chips, sautéed garlic mushrooms, roast plum tomato, pesto, onion ring and peppercorn sauce.
