Shoryu Ramen Piccadilly Gardens Manchester Review: January 2018
Shoryu Ramen founded in 2012, from the team behind the Japan Centre brand, offers authentic Japanese ramen and excitingly has opened their first branch outside of London right in the heart of Piccadilly gardens Manchester. Impressively the brand has been recommended in the 2014 – 2017 Michelin guides.
Head chef Kanji Furukawa along with owner Tak Tokumine were both natives of Hakata district in Fukuoka city on the southern island of Kyushu Japan. Their hometown Hakata tonkotsu ramen recipe is now a firm fixture on the menu at Shoryu Ramen hence the term “It’s in our bones”.
Décor was delightful with subdue lantern lighting setting the scene, along with a mix of seating for groups, couples or intimate seating for one. The place offers a relaxed atmosphere, with an open kitchen and also a warm welcome with the bang of a drum. You will know exactly what I mean when you visit!

Côte Manchester Breakfast Review: April 2017
Bonjour Brilliant Manchester, French phrase book in hand I was ready to experience authentic French cuisine minus the airfare, airport faff and 400-mile journey. The place oozes French rustic charm and character. The inviting entrance has a French feel with aged signage, topiary trees and vintage seating that gives the outdoors café culture feel. Anyone could easily mistake themselves for being right in the heart of Paris.

The Cereal Club Review: November 2016
Start the day the right way! Sounds a cliché, but breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day, as it kick starts your metabolism, helping burn those calories and also providing that burst of energy to simply get things done. Admittedly, at times a guilty “breakfast skipper” myself, but only to pay for it later in the day by over snacking on sugerific foods in the hope of a quick energy kick.
Vita Coco Review: September 2016
The Vita Coco brand was founded ten years ago by childhood friends Mike Kirban and Ira Liran. A chance encounter with two young Brazilian women, during a dining outing in a New York City Bar, revealed how coconut water was a real trend. Several plane tickets to Brazil and a few months later and the Vita Coco brand was born. Now a successful global brand with celebrity followings such as Madonna, Matthew McConaughey, and Rihanna! Vita Coco respect mother nature by resourcefully using every part of the coconut and are an ethical brand that have committed to giving back to the communities that help to produce these Coconutty concoctions.
