Think personality with a hint of pink, Moxy York located within the city centre is the perfect place for a stay in York any time of the year.

Also, with Valentines day just around the corner why not treat your loved one to a lovely Valentines break away at Moxy.

We stayed over New Years and the place felt festive and fabulous with the stunning Christmas tree and the super cool swinging chill chair, we were so glad to spend New Years Eve with such a fabulous and friendly bunch or guys and gals – amazing staff.

The Moxy Sleeper room was a cosy compact double room, offering a comfortable bed with a modern reading chair.

The walled wardrobe is decorated with a mural of all York’s key landmarks and if any of your clothes do get a bit creased there is always the option to iron out in the communal ironing room at the end of the corridor, but the chap will not be there to iron your clothes lol.

The flat-screen in-room television with complimentary Wi-Fi is perfect for all your entertainment needs.

Bathroom featured sink area, hair dryer…pink of course and a stand-up shower unit with complimentary toiletries to use throughout your stay.

The main hub downstairs consists of a huge bar, lobby and lounge area with Plug and Meet gathering areas, huge 56-inch televisions, the ideal place to kick back and relax in.

Décor is cool and quirky with guitars on the wall and Beatles books which I loved! Plenty to do with games being provided and complimentary use of table football too.

There is no kettle in the Moxy Sleeper rooms, but downstairs there is use of a self-service shared kettle with complimentary tea and coffee facilities, so grab a cuppa, some games and enjoy.

Enjoy a drink or two from the bar such as a pint of a well shaken up mocktail or cocktail.

There is also the option to order food and beverage 24/7 which is handy if you want to make the most of your time out and about exploring York.  The casual eatery sharing platter was absolutely huge, and I would recommend the nachos too.  Even with my dietaries the team managed to create me a fabulous feast.

Hit the gym and feel the burn with a range of various equipment such as an exercise mat and running machine.

Breakfast provides a range of continental offerings such as fruit, cereals, toast, omelettes which will provide fuel for the mornings exploring’s.  Even though we had to leave on our second morning at a very early time, the team took the time out to prepare my other half with a breakfast bag to take with him.

Moxy have embraced York and the York themed details throughout the hotel is brilliant including the gym lockers and Viking wall art.

Equally, as fab is the “We Love our Guests” painted onto the shutters and I believe they do, as while onsite Liam and his team went above and beyond.

“Imagination is the highest kite you can fly” the last artwork seen before leaving and I agree this place is a fun vibrant hub and a perfect place to enjoy a visit to York
