Escape Reality Edinburgh Machina and Nosferatu Escape Games Review

Escape Reality Edinburgh Machina and Nosferatu Escape Games Review: September 2019

Edinburgh city centre, the location for an exciting escape game experience at Escape Reality Edinburgh.

Alex and the team, super accommodating, welcomed us warmly and made us feel instantly relaxed, getting us in the zone and ready to game play.

Machina

A team of expert scientists and programmers had been painstakingly sourced and put together to perform ground-breaking experiments in order to create the first true artificial intelligence on Earth.

Accepted onto the team and quickly ushered into their secret headquarters, we noticed something was odd, as scientists were disappearing and an increase in robots showing human traits.

Escape Reality Edinburgh Machina and Nosferatu Escape Games Review 2

Nosferatu

It’s 1841, a time of dark happenings where vampires exist in a small region of Romania, West Transylvania.

Harvey Nichols Edinburgh Fourth Floor Restaurant – Lunch Review

Harvey Nichols Edinburgh Fourth Floor Restaurant Lunch Review: November 2018

Located in an enviable postcode, the fabulous Forth Floor Restaurant, at Harvey Nichols Edinburgh city centre, offers diners an exquisite experience with sensational views including the iconic Edinburgh Castle.

On the menu included super service along with a showcase of sensational and innovative dishes using the finest Scottish produce.  For example, all steaks are Scotch beef certified and sourced locally from Shaw’s Fine Meats based in Lauder, 25 miles south of Edinburgh.

A lovely lunch began with an unexpected pre-course, with the most amazing Artisan bread, delicious soup and fresh butter beautifully displayed on a pretty pebble.  Enjoyed with still water and the Harvey Nichols, Sparkling Chardonnay, Australia, NV, a nice non-alcoholic adult alternative to wine.

Starters included the yummy Pumpkin hummus, pumpkin seed dukkah, harissa, Greek yoghurt, grilled flatbread and also the show stopping Hand-dived Orkney scallop, roasted langoustine, oxtail croquette, beetroot gel, apple, and vanilla bisque.

Mouth-watering mains included the Super-food salad, a mix of grilled courgette, quinoa, baby spinach, tender stem broccoli, avocado, edamame beans, pomegranate and lemon dressing.  Also the brilliant Boarders beef fillet, sweet potato chips, sautéed garlic mushrooms, roast plum tomato, pesto, onion ring and peppercorn sauce.

Can You Escape Edinburgh Operation Odyssey Review: November 2018

Mission: Operation Odyssey, an out of this world, galactic space adventure for all you budding astronauts out there.  Lucky to become Space cadets, along with our commander, we embarked on our solar system star gazing mission on the International space station, but things soon took a drastic turn.

“Houston, we have a problem, the escape pod needs to be fixed”.  Somewhat a muffled and crackled radio signal, but luckily Houston received our distress signal and concluded that an unexpected meteor shower struck the main ship.

Red Bus Bistro Edinburgh Afternoon Tea -Review

Red Bus Bistro Edinburgh Afternoon Tea Review: November 2018

Get on board with the Red Bus Bistro, a brand who offer a unique dining experience, an Afternoon tea tour on a fabulous vintage 1966 Routemaster bus right in the heart of Edinburgh.

The iconic and innovative, Route Master introduced by London Transport in 1956 was in full service until 2005, but then sadly decommissioned.  These lightweight aluminium angels of the road used techniques developed in aircraft production during world War II.

Red Bus Bistro’s routemaster RML 2549 originally started service in 1966, fitted with a new engine in 1991, refurbished in 1992 and went through a variety of sales and owners until Red Bus Bistro became the proud owners, who converted and spruced the vehicle up with the help of South East Coachworks.

The 70 – 90 minute tour takes in all Edinburgh’s key attractions including the old town, Palace of Holyroodhouse and of course Edinburgh Castle, all while you sit back, relax and indulge in Afternoon Tea delights.
