The White Hart Hotel, Apartments & Fat Badger Restaurant Harrogate Review: April 2020 #Gifted

The White Hart Hotel is a grade II listed building located within the Montpellier Quarter of Harrogate North Yorkshire.

The hotel offers a range of in-house rooms and a range of luxury serviced apartments over in Montpellier House.

The McCrae Suite is a four bedroom apartment, ideal for groups, providing guests an extra special stay.

From the moment you walk in you can see the Victorian grandeur and elegance.

The Bedroom was plush, comfortable and cosy with monogrammed Montpellier House cushions which was a nice touch.

There is also a fully functional desk/vanity area, tea tray and seating area for two.

The bathroom was modern with rainfall shower, illuminated vanity mirror, heated towel rail and under floor heating along with complimentary toiletries for you to use throughout your stay.

There is also a lovely lounge, open plan with fully functional kitchen area, so if you fancy a family gathering for celebrations or have a company team building break away this is the idea place for you.

Enjoy dinner at the White Hart’s onsite restaurant The Fat Badger.  A lovely intimate/romantic restaurant which aesthetically is on point.  Super starters, by candlelight, included the scrummy sticky ribs and also the crudité hummus platter.

Marvellous mains included the vegan cauliflower curry, duck noodles and sides of tender stem broccoli and skinny fries.

Delicious desserts included the sticky toffee pudding and the raspberry sorbet.  The range of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks onsite is impressive. The beer served in a brilliant branded Badger glass, gins and the lovely non-alcoholic cocktails are lovely.

Morning scenes at Montpellier House are lovely to wake up to with the floral displays and cute birdie box.  Just a hop, skip and a jump away from the apartment and we prepared to chow down for breakfast at The White Hart Hotel.

The breakfast room is stunning with the elegant and opulent countryside feel.  Scott provided us with a lovely Yorkshire welcome which was a nice start to the day.

The buffet included a range of well stocked hot items along with a continental selection.

Please note our stay was just prior to the current Covid-19 pandemic, so please check with the hotel direct regarding all dining arrangements such as changes to the breakfast buffet service.

The full Yorkshire breakfast packed a punch and the watermelon slices are delightful.

The White Hart Hotel, Apartments & Fat Badger Restaurant are well worth a whirl the next time you visit Harrogate.
