Lancashire Loveliness with Thwaites at The Pendle Inn Pub Barley #Gifted
Enjoy some Lancashire Loveliness, by booking a stay at The Pendle Inn pub, situated within the beautiful Barley village located within The Forest of Bowland.
There’s plenty to do, with the Pendle Sculpture trail, Newchurch witches galore shop, rolling hills, farm life and miles upon miles of hiking terrain. so just grab that ruck sack, bang on your hike boots and get stomping.
The Pendle Inn Pub is set in some of Lancashire most stunningly scenic rural bliss, paradise on earth. Photographic opportunities in abundance for those keen photographers and Instagram moments or simply just live in the moment and soak in the beauty through your own eyes.
You will immediately notice how genuine the warm welcome will be, becuase all the team are absolute super stars. A big shout out to the lovely Lizzy, sparkly Holly and awesome chef Stuart for making our weekend wonderful and full of fabulousness.
Built up an appetite, I bet you have, and you’re in for a right treat, because Chef Stuart and his team have got some right lovely pub grub for you. There’s no Sunday lunch like a Thwaites Pendle Inn Sunday pub lunch… and with all the trimmings including those giant Yorkshire puddings you’re all sorted!!
Halloumi fries with a sweet chilli sauce dip and sausage roll starters, yes please, pure lushness! Mouth-watering mains include their signature roast beef Sunday roast with veggies, roast and mash potatoes with lashings of beefy gravy…Ooo blooming brilliant it just makes your mother water!
The amazing apple pie with custard, chocolate brownie with chocolate sauce, ice cream and coffee liqueurs to finish, it’s a good way to spend a Sunday that’s for sure.
Let the good times roll and make a few nights of it and stay onsite at the Pendle Inn Pub Cute Cottage Accommodations. Self-catering units that offer the perfect base to go large in Lancashire and make the most of your time.
There are complimentary toiletries, bottled water and more importantly a hospitality tray with tea, coffee and those all-important biscuits so you can give them a good dunk in your cuppa after a busy day roaming the rolling hills.
After settling in, I would highly recommend taking the literally 30 second walk from the cottage to enjoy some of the ales offered by the iconic experienced brewery brand Daniel Thwaites, the owners of The Pendle Inn Pub.
Pair those Daniel Thwaites beers, along with their extensive selection of wine, spirits, cocktails and softs, with Chef Stuarts dinner deliciousness. Yumminess overload begins with some scrummy starters including tempura prawns with sweet chilli dipping sauce and their salt & pepper calamari.
The Cod loin and steak supper mains are superb, and the quality is exceptional, both the herby garlic and peppercorn sauces supercilious, we literally had to hold ourselves back from licking the plates clean, now, that’s a tantamount to how good the pub food is!
Desserts and cocktails heavenly as per usual, including the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and toffee sauce and the beaut Bakewell tart with fresh pouring cream. Cocktails including the Classic Cosmopolitan, Royale and the Expresso Martini mixed and shaken up to perfection.
What can I say, after a weekend of pure blissfulness a big well done to all The Pendle Inn Pub team. This doesn’t seem enough, as their level of professionalism, politeness and personal approach is next level!!
Now, what are you waiting for bring on your brilliance book into The Pendle Inn for cute cottage accommodations, fabulous food, drinks and seriously super service.
